SPEAK
is
an original musical theatre presentation written, researched and
performed by the teens of Multi-Youth Productions. . Alberta
continues to have the highest reported incidence of family violence
in Canada. SPEAK
explores how Family Violence has immediate and long-term
consequences for all of us: children, youth, individuals, families
and the community.
SPEAK
will entertain and educate its audience about the role they can play
in assisting those who are affected by Domestic Violence.
SPEAK
will encourage those who see it to break the silence and the cycle
of abuse. Multi-Youth Productions is pleased to have the
support and knowledgeable assistance of Jan Reimer and the Alberta
Council of Women's Shelters.
Multi-Youth is a highly
successful teen theatre group aged 12- 17 that specialize in
developing and presenting one hour original theatrical
productions for school, conference and public audiences. Their
one hour productions, are researched, written, choreographed and
performed by the troupe.
