Kits represent a powerful programming tool for
stimulating the
mind by evoking memories and encouraging inter-generational
interaction through
storytelling.
Multi-Heritage
Kits can be used in different settings and for recreational as well
as therapeutic purposes. A wide variety of themed kits
containing authentic artifacts directly involve participants in
hands-on activities while sharing memories, which enhances the
well-being of seniors.
The Multicultural Heritage Centre Reminiscence Kit Program received
the Minister's Service Award and Parkland County Award of Excellence
for its benefit to the seniors' community.
